This paper looks at one aspect of urban sociology: urban regeneration, and in particular, the phenomenal burst of urban regeneration in the UK around the millennium. Examples of UK urban regeneration discussed in this paper include Southwark, Salford, and Rotherham, all of which were regenerated, incorporating museums and galleries in their design: the Tate Modern, The Lowry Centre, and Magna, respectively.
