Leisure education is a study area begun in the mid 20th century. At that time, the focus was the traditional family environment, with leisure being viewed as anything that was not work related. During the latter part of that century, many changes in the models, analyses techniques, and focus areas studied in leisure education were made. This paper shall evaluate the research findings concerning leisure education as they relate to adults (men and women), adolescents, college students, and the elderly.
