Ibsen and Glaspell: A Comparison of Gender Themes.
This four-page undergraduate paper compares and contrasts Susan Glaspell's "Trifles" and Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House" in terms of the notions of domesticity and the men's attitudes toward women expressed in each play. The author also discusses how the assumptions that the men make about the women in both plays contribute to the plays' conflicts and how the women in the two plays differ. 4 pgs.
