This paper shall provide the answers to a series of questions on the Montessori Method of teaching, as outlined in the books "The Absorbent Minds" by Maria Montessori. At the time of publication, the Montessori Method was considered to be a revolutionary means of addressing public and private education, where the child was viewed as an active participant in learning and the teachers were expected to perceive the child in this manner. Other works shall be used to supplement the discussion on "The Absorbent Minds". The majority of these works will be by additional texts by Montessori, but other outside authors are also consulted. Of note is the text "Montessori: A Modern Approach" by Paula Polk Lillard. All supplemental texts shall be noted wherever used. 40 pgs. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
