Media Report on the Representation of Multiculturalism, Immigration, Racism and Ethnic Communities in The Toronto Star and the National Post
This essay will compare and contrast the representation of issues associated with multiculturalism, racism, immigration and ethnic groups over a period of one week in two of Canada's major newspapers: The Toronto Star and the National Post. This paper will argue the thesis that these two papers differ significantly in their treatment of these issues - with The Toronto Star being more detailed and favourable in its treatment than the National Post - as a consequence of both target audience and editorial policy. 16 pgs. 14 sources.
