Oahu and Colonialism: Landscape Analysis of the Dole Plantation
This paper examines the history of colonialism in brief, specifically in the manner that colonialism was shaped by (and also shaped) the practice of agriculture that Europeans exported around the world during their colonial expansion. As a singular example, the Dole Plantation on Oahu is examined as a landscape that is also a cultural artifact of the colonialism in Hawaii.
